Student waiting to go to school.  We would all line up like cattle to squeeze thru a walkway wide enough for about 3 people at a time.

This "protest" never should have been allowed to occur!  The actions of the RUC were at times, adequate...most of the time, reprehensible!  These 200 little girls have been scarred for life, having been exposed to such hatred and violence aimed at them (ages 3 - 11 years old).  The ONLY good thing about it all is there are now 200 new strong Republicans, believing in the soon-to-be free, united Ireland!

The walk to school was always quite an experience.

Now we enter, and go through the Gauntlet of Hate...100's of loyalists of all ages and sizes screaming at the girls.

Loyalists found great pleasure in screaming "FENIAN SCUM" etc.  The girls were so innocent many had to actually ask what it meant, and why those men were calling them "whores".

Loyalists Blocking the Road.  This happened a few times...where the road was actually blocked.  Security forces were very reluctant to clear the way.

Arriving at school every day was a huge sigh of relief.  Every day we weren't attacked we were actually surprised!

Day of the blast bomb was the epitomy of cowardice.  The device was thrown at the girls, but thank God fell short, and bounced back into the RUC.  ONLY cop I felt bad for was the dog that got hurt.
